Marion Community Schools invites families of children who will be starting kindergarten next school year to attend our Kindergarten Roundup, 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 11, at Bill Green Arena at Marion High School. Please bring your kindergartner-to-be with you!
Children who will be 5 years old on or before Aug. 1, 2024, can attend kindergarten in the 2024-25 school year. (If you'd like to request early entry, we will have information about that at Kindergarten Roundup as well.)
What you need to bring:
- Proof of residence (like a utility bill with your name and address on it) if possible.
- A copy of your kindergartner-to-be's birth certificate. We need that official document to certify your child is eligible for kindergarten. (If you cannot bring a copy of the birth certificate on this day, we can still begin the registration process, but we'll need you to follow up with us and provide that document before we can complete the registration process.)
- Your child's immunization records. (If you don't have that to provide now, you can bring them to the school later. School immunization requirements for 2024-25 are not yet available, but you can view the current requirements here as reference, or talk to your health care provider.)
SKIP THE LINE: If you are new to MCS, set up your Infinite Campus account and get a jump on the registration process! Click here for instructions. (Families with older siblings already enrolled can complete this step here.)
Our teachers and staff are excited to meet you and help you get registered and ready for kindergarten!
We will have a photo booth, gifts for you, and lots of important information. See you there!
