News Blog Category - News Fire Safety Week is Oct. 8 through 14 this year. Here are some tips to help keep your family safe:
  • At home, please check your smoke detector batteries and expiration date on your extinguisher. It is recommended to have a smoke detector on each level of your home.
  • Discuss fire safety with your child. Make sure they know to get out of the building as fast as they can, and not to hide from firefighters. Explain that if it is smoky, they should get low by ducking or crawling.
  • Make a family plan and meeting spot. Your family meeting spot should be somewhere close by, but a safe distance from your home, such as a tree, mailbox, or a neighbor’s home. This is where your child should know to go if there is a fire in your home.

News Blog Category - News For families who bring their student(s) to school:

During arrival, please say all of your good-byes before pulling up to the drop-off zone. We do our best to keep the car line moving. Students should be ready to exit the car as soon as the car comes to a complete stop.

During dismissal, please remember NOT to block any driveways (including those for homes in the neighborhood). Blocking driveways is a ticketable offense, and police will enforce traffic laws in the area! Also, please be sure to use your turn signals when entering and exiting the Riverview property.
